2 fl oz
Four Roses Small Batch
¾ fl oz
Simple syrup
¾ fl oz
Lemon juice
½ fl oz
Red wine
Egg white
Expressed lemon peel


Combine all ingredients (except red wine) into a shaker tin. If choosing to use an egg white, dry shake ingredients for fifteen seconds. Add ice. Shake for another fifteen seconds, or until the cocktail is well chilled. Double strain over fresh ice into a double old-fashioned glass. Gently layer red wine on top of the cocktail. Garnish
